  • Eggs – 2 large ones
  • Carrots – 1 ½ cups (for carrot protein and should be grated)

  • Whey Protein Blend – 1 scoop of Vanilla Cake flavor (from Revolution Nutrition)
  • Optional – ½ cup walnuts or pecans, chopped

Instructions

Preheating – For this protein carrot cake, you need to achieve 350°F (175°C) temperature, so beforehand, let the oven preheat to this temperature. Meanwhile, take a 9-inch cake pan and grease it.

Mixing the Dry and Wet Ingredients – To start the separate mixing process, use one bowl for the dry and one for the wet ingredients.

Start by mixing baking powder and soda, nutmeg, salt, and cinnamon with the flour. Then, combine the eggs, applesauce, and honey in a separate bowl. Make sure to mix gradually and keep adding the dry ingredients so they can mix correctly without lumps.

Add the Final Ingredients – Once the initial mixture is done, add the crushed pineapple, carrots, and recommended protein powder into the original mix. You can use any carrot protein or other flavor of your choice. Fold in the nuts if using.

Apply the Batter and Bake – Apply the final batter on the pan by slowly pouring to make it spread evenly until smooth at the top. Allow the batter up to 30 minutes to bake correctly. You can start checking after 20 minutes if it is done using a toothpick. If, after inserting the toothpick, it comes out clean, then your cake is ready. Otherwise, let it simmer for a little bit longer.

Let it Cool and serve when warm.
