High-Protein Chicken Gyro Bowl

 

 

Ingredients (1 large bowl)

 

For the chicken:

  • 5–6 oz (150–170 g) chicken breast, sliced
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp cumin
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Juice of ½ lemon

 

For the base:

  • ½ cup cooked quinoa or brown rice
  • 1 cup romaine or mixed greens
  • ½ cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • ½ cup cucumber, diced
  • 2 tbsp red onion, thinly sliced

 

Protein tzatziki sauce:

  • ½ cup Greek yogurt or dairy-free yogurt
  • 1 scoop Iso Whey Vanilla Cake
  • ¼ cup grated cucumber (squeezed dry)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 small garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

 

 

Preparation

 

  1. Season the chicken:
    Toss sliced chicken with olive oil, oregano, paprika, garlic powder, cumin, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
  2. Cook the chicken:
    Heat a skillet over medium-high and cook chicken for 5–7 minutes, until fully cooked and slightly golden.
  3. Prepare the tzatziki:
    In a bowl, mix yogurt, protein powder, grated cucumber, lemon juice, garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper until smooth and creamy.
  4. Assemble the bowl:
    Add quinoa or rice as the base, then layer greens, tomatoes, cucumber, and red onion.
    Top with warm chicken and drizzle generously with protein tzatziki.
