These homemade protein bagels are soft, chewy, and packed with protein an easy, healthier upgrade to your everyday breakfast staple.

Ingredients

 

Bagels

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (or bread flour)
  • 1 scoop High Whey Vanilla Cake
  • 1½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¾ cup Greek-style lactose-free yogurt (or dairy-free alternative)

 

Egg Wash & Toppings

  • 1 egg (for brushing)
  • Optional toppings: sesame seeds, everything bagel seasoning, poppy seeds

 

 

Preparation

 

1. Preheat oven

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

 

2. Mix dry ingredients

In a bowl, combine flour, protein powder, baking powder, and salt.

 

3. Form the dough

Add yogurt to the dry mixture and mix until a dough forms.

Transfer to a lightly floured surface and knead for 2–3 minutes until smooth.
If sticky, add a bit more flour.

 

4. Shape the bagels

Divide the dough into 4 equal portions.

Roll each piece into a rope and connect the ends to form a bagel shape.

 

5. Add egg wash & toppings

Place bagels on the baking sheet.

Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with your desired toppings.

 

6. Bake

Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until golden brown.

Let cool for at least 10 minutes before slicing.
