International Hummus Day

A smooth and flavorful roasted red pepper hummus made with chickpeas and protein powder. This healthy, plant-based dip is perfect for International Hummus Day or everyday snacking.

Roasted Red Pepper Hummus

 

 

Ingredients (6–8 servings)

  • 1 can (15 oz / 425 g) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1 cup roasted red peppers (jarred or homemade)
  • 2 tbsp tahini
  • 1 scoop Unflavored Protein powder 
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 clove garlic
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp cumin
  • Salt to taste
  • 2–4 tbsp water (as needed for texture)

 

 

Preparation

 

  1. Add all ingredients to a food processor.
  2. Blend until smooth and creamy, stopping to scrape down the sides as needed.
  3. Add water gradually until desired consistency is reached.
  4. Taste and adjust salt or lemon juice if needed.
  5. Chill for 30 minutes before serving for best flavor.
