Honey Mustard Pineapple Glazed Spiral Ham

Sweet, tangy, and golden on the outside — this protein-boosted pineapple honey mustard glaze turns a classic ham into an unforgettable table centerpiece with a subtle dose of extra nutrition.

Ingredients

For the Ham

  • 1 fully cooked spiral-cut ham (7–9 lbs)
  • Whole cloves (optional, for enhanced aroma)

Protein Honey-Mustard Pineapple Glaze

  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • ½ cup honey
  • ¼ cup Dijon mustard
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tbsp High Whey Vanilla Cake
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • Pinch of cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • Pineapple rings + maraschino cherries for garnish (optional)

Preparation

  1. Preheat the Oven
Heat your oven to 325°F (165°C). Place the spiral ham flat-side down in a roasting pan. Add ½ cup water to the bottom to keep it moist.
  2. Make the Glaze
In a saucepan, whisk together pineapple juice, honey, Dijon, brown sugar, vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, and cinnamon.
Warm over medium heat until lightly simmering.
Remove from heat, then whisk in your protein powder until smooth — make sure there are no clumps.
  3. Glaze and Bake
Brush a generous layer of glaze over the ham.
Cover loosely with foil and bake 12–15 minutes per pound.
Every 20 minutes, pull out and brush more glaze between slices.
  4. Caramelize the Finish
During the last 15–20 minutes, remove foil, add remaining glaze, and let the sugars bubble into a shiny, sticky crust.
  5. Rest & Serve
Let sit for 10 minutes before slicing so the juices settle. Garnish with pineapple rings and cherries for an extra touch.

This honey mustard pineapple ham hits every note — sweet, tangy, juicy, with a glossy golden glaze made even better with a light boost of protein. It’s nostalgic, impressive, and guaranteed to be one of the first dishes to disappear at the table. Serve it warm with roasted potatoes, fresh greens, or enjoy cold ham sandwiches the next day.
